Is Sugar Poison?

Read this article & saw the related video a few weeks ago, quite fascinating. The video has a lot of information on the science of how different foods (in this case sugars) are metabolized by the body. The video is 90 mins long and very detailed in certain sections. I need to watch this again to fully understand the science. Here’s the video:

Lastpass security breach & setting strong passwords

May 10, 2011 at 4:04 pm (Tech) (, , , , , )

So, I moved to using lastpass as my password manager across all computers last month. I’d been using roboform for a few years and liked it a lot. However, the 15$ license fee per computer was starting to add up, and they seemed to be missing or behind the curve on some features (Google Chrome support, & syncing password data across computers) They have both these features now, but the implementation of sync wasn’t simple or very pleasing. Hence the search for a new, preferably free password manager.

Lastpass seems to fit the bill perfectly. It works across browsers, is free and can be accessed from my work computer! Where they won’t let us install the roboform add-in to internet-explorer. I’ve been using it for a month or so, & I generally like lastpass. It is a little hard to get used to the lastpass way of doing things after having using roboform for so long. I even got my girlfriend to start using lastpass!

And then this happens: Security Incident at Lastpass Sigh Sigh, setting a strong master password and changing my passwords across the web has been on my to-do list for the while & the lastpass incident goaded me into finally attempting to do it.

I looked up these articles on for tips & tricks: What Professional Password Guessers Look for in Your Password & How I’d Hack Your Weak Passwords & hopped over to this helpful Random Password Generator

But my creative energies have deserted me today, try as I might I haven’t been able to come up with a phrase, that I can both remember and butcher or securify with capital letters, symbols and numbers that will satisfy Microsoft’s password checker Sigh, I should make Ellie imagine up a new password for me. Her strong password is excellent!

The search for a new password continues…
